About Ghostty
Ghostty is Mitchell Hashimoto's post-HashiCorp project, and it shows: a GPU-accelerated terminal that feels genuinely native on macOS rather than a cross-platform port.
It became the breakout terminal of the last year for good reason. Fast rendering, proper macOS windows, tabs and splits, and sane defaults that mean most people never touch the config file.
It's free and open source with no paid tier at all. If you're still on Terminal.app or shopping around from iTerm2, this is the one to try first.
