Submission guidelines

What we look for

• A genuine macOS app with a maintained public website and a working download or purchase path.
• A clear job-to-be-done, transparent pricing and enough product information for readers to make an informed decision.
• Thoughtful macOS implementation, including current platform compatibility and honest system requirements.
• Original products. Thin wrappers, abandoned projects, deceptive listings and copied apps are unlikely to be accepted.

Information to provide

Include the app name, canonical website URL, concise tagline, full description, current pricing, primary category, minimum macOS version and your contact details. Tell us if the app is open source, available through Setapp or the Mac App Store, or has an affiliate programme.

Images

Provide a square app icon and a landscape product image. For the cover, 1200 × 630 pixels is preferred; 2400 × 1260 is ideal for high-density screens. Use PNG, JPEG or WebP, keep files below 2 MB, and submit only artwork you have permission to share.

Editorial and paid placement

A free submission does not guarantee publication or a positive assessment. Editorial inclusion is based on usefulness and fit. A sponsored listing publishes after verified payment, is always labelled “Sponsored”, and never changes editorial recommendations or organic rankings. Commercial relationships must be disclosed as described in our affiliate disclosure.

Policies that apply

Submitting an app means accepting our terms of use, including the permissions and responsibilities for supplied artwork and information. Contact details, uploaded files and payment information are handled as described in our privacy policy. We may remove inaccurate, unsafe or deceptive listings under those terms.

After submission

We may edit supplied text for clarity, house style and accuracy. If pricing, ownership or availability changes, please contact us so the listing can be updated.
