About Wisp

Wisp is a lightweight scratchpad that appears with a global keyboard shortcut whenever you need to capture a thought. It supports Markdown, light and dark appearances, and a distraction-free window that can be dismissed as quickly as it opens.

Notes are stored in a plain local file, so you keep control of the content and can place that file in a synced folder if you want it on more than one Mac. It is a practical fit for temporary notes, commands, links, and text you do not want to lose in a full notes app.

Wisp is free and open source, requires macOS 13 or later, and is built for Apple Silicon Macs.
