About Osaurus

Osaurus turns an Apple Silicon Mac into a local AI workspace. It can run compatible models on-device, connect to tools and files, and expose a familiar API for apps that would otherwise depend on a hosted model provider.

It is aimed at developers and privacy-conscious users who want local inference, reusable agents, memory, and optional cloud connections in one native app. Local models keep sensitive prompts on the Mac and can continue working without an internet connection.

Osaurus is free, open source, and requires macOS 15.5 or later. Model performance depends heavily on the memory and chip in your Mac.
