KeePassXC is the password manager for people who want their vault in a local file, not someone else's cloud. It reads and writes the standard KeePass format, so your database works everywhere and belongs to nobody.
Browser integration and built-in TOTP codes make it less spartan than it looks — autofill works nearly as smoothly as 1Password's.
It's completely free and open source, maintained by a volunteer team. Sync is on you (iCloud, Dropbox, whatever), which is the point: offline-first, no subscription, ever.
